1. Introduction

Welcome to The Blue Light Movement, a Swiss non-profit association (Verein) dedicated to fostering holistic personal and collective well-being, spiritual growth, and social transformation. These Terms and Conditions govern your participation in our community and use of our services.

2. Definitions

Association/NGO/We/Us/Our: The Blue Light Movement, a Swiss Verein as defined in our Statuten

Member: Individuals who have formally joined our association according to our Statuten

Participant/You: Any individual engaging with our services, community, or activities

Services: All programs, activities, content, and community offerings provided by the association

Community: The collective of members and participants engaged in our programs

Platform: Our website www.thebluelightmovement.org and associated digital services

3. Our Mission and Purpose

As outlined in our Statuten §2, we pursue exclusively charitable purposes under Swiss law (Art. 60 ff. ZGB). We promote:

  • Education and holistic personal and collective well-being
  • Social justice and healing through programs and research of public benefit
  • Gender equality and women's empowerment
  • New forms of communication, social understanding, and spiritual growth
  • Environmental, humanitarian, and social transformation projects

4. Community Participation

4.1 Eligibility

Anyone may participate in our community activities. Formal membership requires approval by our Board of Directors as outlined in our Statuten §3.

4.2 Community Guidelines

By participating, you agree to:

  • Engage respectfully with all community members
  • Support our charitable mission and values
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive community discussions
  • Respect the spiritual and personal growth journey of others
  • Contribute positively to our collective learning environment

4.3 Prohibited Conduct

The following behaviors are not permitted:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or disrespectful treatment of others
  • Sharing content that violates others' privacy or confidentiality
  • Commercial solicitation without prior written approval
  • Misrepresenting our association or its teachings
  • Activities that contradict our charitable purposes

5. Spiritual and Educational Activities

5.1 Nature of Services

Our services include:

  • Community gatherings and events
  • Online content and resources

5.2 Personal Responsibility

You acknowledge that:

  • Our activities are for personal and spiritual development
  • You participate voluntarily and at your own responsibility
  • Our services complement but do not replace professional medical, psychological, or therapeutic care
  • You are responsible for your own physical and mental well-being during participation

5.3 Medical Disclaimer

Important: Our services are not medical treatment, psychological therapy, or professional counseling. If you have mental health concerns, medical conditions, or are receiving professional treatment, please consult your healthcare provider before participating in our activities.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Association's Rights

As outlined in our Statuten §9, all content, materials, methods, and programs developed through our association's activities are the intellectual property of The Blue Light Movement. This includes:

  • Teaching materials and methodologies
  • Research findings and publications
  • Audio/visual content and recordings
  • Program curricula and frameworks

6.2 Community Contributions

When you contribute content, insights, or feedback to our community:

  • You grant us a non-exclusive right to use your contributions for our charitable purposes
  • Your contributions may be anonymized for research and community development
  • You retain ownership of your personal experiences and insights

6.3 Respect for Rights

You agree not to:

  • Record, reproduce, or distribute our proprietary content without written permission
  • Use our intellectual property for commercial purposes
  • Claim ownership of association-developed materials

7. Privacy and Data Protection

7.1 Data Handling

We handle your personal information in accordance with Swiss data protection law (nDSG) and our Privacy Policy. We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data.

7.2 Community Feedback

When you provide feedback or insights:

  • Information is anonymized for analysis and community development
  • Data is used solely to enhance our charitable programs and community experience
  • Your privacy is protected throughout our processes

7.3 Confidentiality

Community discussions often involve personal sharing. You agree to:

  • Respect the confidentiality of others' personal information
  • Not share details of private community conversations outside our community
  • Honor the trust placed in our collective safe space

8. Financial Matters

8.1 Charitable Nature

As a non-profit association, any fees collected support our charitable mission and operational costs.

8.2 Donations

Donations are voluntary contributions to support our charitable work. Donations are generally non-refundable unless required by law.

8.3 Membership Fees

Membership fees, if applicable, are determined by our General Assembly as outlined in our Statuten §6.

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1 Charitable Activity Limitation

As permitted under Swiss law, our liability is limited to cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct. We are not liable for:

  • Personal injuries during voluntary participation in activities
  • Emotional or psychological responses to spiritual practices
  • Decisions you make based on community insights or teachings
  • Technical issues with our digital platforms

9.2 Association Assets

As stated in our Statuten §10, only association assets are liable for association obligations. Personal liability of members is excluded.

10. Termination and Withdrawal

10.1 Voluntary Withdrawal

You may cease participation at any time. Formal members may withdraw according to Statuten §3 with 30 days' notice.

10.2 Exclusion

We reserve the right to exclude participants who:

  • Violate these Terms or our community guidelines
  • Engage in behavior harmful to our community
  • Act contrary to our charitable purposes

10.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

  • Access to member-only services ceases
  • Confidentiality obligations continue
  • No refunds are provided unless required by law

11. Legal Framework

11.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Swiss law, specifically the laws of the Canton of Zürich.

11.2 Dispute Resolution

Disputes will be resolved through:

  1. Direct discussion and mediation
  2. If necessary, through competent Swiss courts in Zürich

11.3 Compliance

Our association operates in compliance with:

  • Swiss Civil Code (ZGB) provisions for associations
  • Swiss data protection law (nDSG)
  • Cantonal and federal charitable organization regulations

12. Communication

All official communication occurs via email to your registered address. You are responsible for maintaining current contact information.

13. Amendments

13.1 Right to Modify

We may update these Terms to reflect:

  • Changes in our services or programs
  • Legal or regulatory requirements
  • Improvements to community guidelines

13.2 Notification

Significant changes will be announced via email and on our website. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.

13.3 Statutory Changes

Changes affecting our Statuten require approval according to Statuten §6 procedures.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid, the remaining provisions continue in full effect. Invalid provisions will be replaced with valid terms that best achieve the original intent.

15. Final Provisions

These Terms, together with our Statuten and Privacy Policy, constitute the complete agreement regarding your participation in our community.
